February 2024 General Meeting

We need a boost in February as it can be a dreary month. Come join us aspire to great gardens this coming growing season!
– Our next GGG meeting is Thursday February 1, 2024, beginning at 7:00pm
– IN PERSON at the Greely Community Centre, 1448 Meadow Drive, Greely
$5.00 guest fee OR purchase your 2024 membership for $15.00.
Our speaker for this meeting is Robert Stuart and we welcome him back once again. He will talk to us on “Getting a Head Start on the Summer Growing Season”.
– This presentation will address the preparation and timing of growing your own plants in anticipation of summer.
– Rob will look at sowing vegetables, annuals, and some quick growing perennials.
– Also covered in the talk will be the types of soil, pots, watering, light and temperatures required, as well as how to grow your seedlings and how to harden them off.
– In addition, Rob will also address the starting of plants from tubers and rhizomes.
– All in all, this presentation will help you get your garden off to a great start this summer.
